Some universities and institutions of higher education allow a registration until Mid-September.
Das Wintersemester: Optimal für (fast) alle!
In the winter semester most people start studying. Those who have just finished school and would now like to plan a course of study have a very wide range of courses of study to choose from in the winter semester.
The winter semester differs slightly from the summer semester. But it has at least as many advantages for foreign students:
- Romantic Wintertime
- A very wide range of new starting bachelor degree courses
- Very many lectures especially for first-year students
- Very numerous lectures especially for first-year students
- Guest students with their own curriculum can still have a very high level of flexibility
If you have already studied for a whole year in your home country, the winter semester is basically just as good for you as the summer semester. These students have a great deal of freedom in choosing the right time for the semester abroad.
There are also many Master’s degree courses that start in the winter semester. First and foremost, many consecutive Master’s programmes in economics and social sciences are launched.
However, as there are also Bachelor’s degree programmes with a standard study period of 6 and 8 semesters, many consecutive Master’s degree programmes are also offered in the winter semester.
